Oyo Police promote 159 Inspectors to ASP rank

The Oyo State Police Command has promoted 159 Inspectors to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in recognition of their dedication, professionalism, and exemplary service.
Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Adewale Osifeso, announced the promotions in a statement on Tuesday in Ibadan, noting that the gesture reflects the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun’s, commitment to rewarding exceptional performance.
At the decoration ceremony, Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Femi Haruna, commended the newly promoted officers for their courage, professional excellence, and steadfast service to the community.
“The promotion you have received today signifies not only the recognition of your hard work and commitment but also serves as a reminder to uphold these values in your ongoing career,” Haruna said.
He emphasised that an organised reward system motivates officers to consistently pursue excellence and urged the new ASPs to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
The decorated officers expressed gratitude for the recognition and pledged to remain committed to the principles of the police force.
Osifeso reiterated the command’s dedication to professionalism, rewarding outstanding service, and strengthening public trust and safety.
Among the newly promoted officers are ASP Eriarehmhien Ayishat, ASP Coker Bunmi, and ASP Tina Osuoza.
