The election took place on Wednesday during the union’s 8th Quadrennial Delegates Conference held in Ibadan.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, the National President of the NUT, Titus Audu Amba, said the union operates on democratic principles, with leadership elections conducted at national, state and local levels at the end of each tenure. He was represented at the event by the National Social Secretary, Comrade Titi Ade Adebanjo.
