Commonwealth Business Africa has inducted the Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy as a member.
At the ceremony attended by the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, the Minister delivered a keynote address on the role of women in national economic growth and development.

The Minister wrote:
“I was deeply honored to be inducted into the Commonwealth Business Women Africa (CBW-Africa) by its President, Mrs. Ngozi Oyewole, at the CBW-Africa Summit 2025.

“In my keynote address on the theme “Synergies for Sustainable Prosperity: Uniting Trade, Health Innovation, Technological Advancement, and Clean Energy Solutions in Africa,” I highlighted the vital role women play in driving economic growth through business and various creative craft.

“While these contributions are significant, it is crucial to advocate for greater inclusion of women in leadership especially in government—where they can influence policies and frameworks that directly impact their lives and opportunities.

“Through the Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism, and the Creative Economy, we remain committed to ensuring that our initiatives support and empower women across these sectors.”
