Nigeria’s National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, held talks with United States Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington as both countries moved to strengthen cooperation on security and counter-terrorism efforts in West Africa.
The meeting focused on strengthening the partnership between Nigeria and the United States in addressing terrorism and regional security challenges.
According to officials, President Bola Tinubu expressed appreciation to President Donald Trump for the continued support of the United States, particularly in the areas of military training and intelligence sharing.
The engagement comes as Nigerian security forces intensify operations aimed at dismantling terrorist networks and protecting vulnerable communities across parts of the country.
