Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs Toke Benson-Awoyinka, alongside the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, joined other distinguished guests at the unveiling and official launch of the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation on Monday, 9 March 2026, at The Delborough Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos State.
The initiative, founded by renowned Nigerian music icon Tiwa Savage in collaboration with Berklee College of Music, aims to empower emerging African creatives by providing access to world-class music education, mentorship, and professional training.
As part of the foundation’s inaugural programme, “Berklee in Nigeria: Tiwa Savage Intensive Music Programme,” 100 selected participants will receive hands-on training in music production, songwriting, sound engineering, and other key aspects of the music industry. The programme is scheduled to take place in Lagos from April 23 to April 26, 2026.
Although the programme is tuition-free, participants will be responsible for their travel and accommodation within Lagos. Applications remain open until March 20, 2026.
