The Ekiti State Police Command has launched a search for a 19-year-old woman, Happiness Damdam, who reportedly went missing after leaving her residence on August 10, 2026.

Damdam was said to have left home at about 4 p.m. that day for an undisclosed destination but had yet to return as of Sunday, despite efforts by her family and friends to locate her.

The command’s spokesperson, SP Sunday Abutu, disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday, appealing to members of the public to provide information that could assist in locating the missing woman.

Abutu said anyone with useful information about Damdam’s whereabouts should report to the nearest police station or contact the command on 09064050086.

The police described Damdam as about 4.5 feet tall and light-complexioned, with no tribal marks, adding that she speaks English fluently.

Meanwhile, the command said it had commenced an investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding her disappearance and facilitate her safe return to her family.

Abutu also urged residents to circulate information about the missing woman, stressing that public cooperation would assist the police in their efforts to locate her.

“The appeal is part of our efforts to unravel the circumstances surrounding her disappearance and reunite her safely with her family,” the police spokesperson said.
