President Tinubu celebrates JAMB Registrar, Ishaq Oloyede, at 70

President Bola Tinubu has paid tribute to Professor Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), in celebration of his 70th birthday on October 10.

In a message on Wednesday, the president praised Oloyede’s exceptional contributions, describing him as an astute administrator, educator, and scholar whose work has significantly shaped Nigeria’s academic landscape.

Highlighting Oloyede’s tenure as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Tinubu commended his innovative leadership, which brought about significant progress at the institution.

“Prof. Oloyede’s invaluable contributions to academia and public-sector administration have had a profound impact on the academic community,” Tinubu remarked.

The president also applauded Oloyede for his transformative work at JAMB, where he introduced reforms and technological innovations that have made Nigeria’s university admission process more transparent and credible.

Tinubu particularly praised Oloyede’s financial management at JAMB, which has turned the institution into a consistent contributor to the national treasury.

“Prof. Oloyede’s leadership at JAMB has been marked by integrity, accountability, and a commitment to excellence,” Tinubu stated. “His contributions have greatly enhanced the credibility of Nigeria’s admissions process.”

Tinubu emphasized the importance of education in national development, noting that scholars like Oloyede are essential to Nigeria’s progress. He also commended Oloyede for his dedication to teaching and leadership, which has shaped the lives of thousands of students.

As Oloyede turns 70, Tinubu expressed pride in his accomplishments and prayed for his continued good health, wisdom, and strength. “The nation owes the distinguished professor a debt of gratitude for his selfless service,” the president concluded.

Oloyede’s career spans decades in academia and public administration, with notable achievements in both sectors. He was formerly the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Kwara State.
