President Bola Tinubu will on Sunday depart Abuja for Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, to attend the eighth-day prayer ceremony in honour of the late Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, GCON.
This was disclosed in a post on Saturday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, via his official X account.
Onanuga said the memorial event is scheduled to take place at the Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu-Ode, where President Tinubu will join Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, other dignitaries, traditional rulers, and well-wishers in paying tribute to the revered monarch.
Oba Adetona passed away on July 13 at the age of 91, after a remarkable reign spanning over six decades. He was buried the following day in Ijebu-Ode, with an outpouring of tributes from across the country.
