The Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters, Basheer Lado, has commended the Nigerian Senate for its prompt and diligent confirmation of President Bola Tinubu’s ministerial nominees.
Speaking to State House correspondents, Senator Lado acknowledged the Senate leadership’s support in advancing the President’s agenda.
He praised the qualifications of the newly confirmed ministers, noting that President Tinubu’s choices demonstrate his commitment to addressing Nigeria’s challenges and driving economic growth.
“These appointments show the President’s dedication to prioritizing the needs of Nigerians and fostering democratic progress,” Lado remarked.
On Wednesday, the Senate confirmed the seven nominees proposed by President Tinubu after last week’s cabinet reshuffle. The new ministers are Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi, Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, Idi Mukhtar Maiha, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, and Suwaiba Said Ahmed.
Lado also applauded Senate President Godswill Akpabio for his “professionalism in overseeing the screening process for the seven nominees.”
“These ministers were carefully selected for their expertise, knowledge, and extensive experience, equipping them to make impactful changes across key sectors,” he said, adding that the selection highlights President Tinubu’s focus on national unity, social harmony, and inclusive growth to build a stronger Nigeria.
