Priscilla is Iyabo Ojo’s prized possession

Nigerian entrepreneur and reality star, Chioma Ikokwu, has revealed that the newly wedded Priscilla Ojo is Iyabo Ojo’s “prized possession.”

The Real Housewives of Lagos star shared this in a recent Instagram post.

“It was one thing encouraging @its.priscy and @juma_jux on their love-at-first-sight quest, but it was a whole other thing convincing Queen Mother to allow a big-time Tanzanian artist to date her only daughter and prized possession, Priscy,” she wrote.

Ikokwu recalled how she encouraged actress Iyabo Ojo to accept Juma Jux as her son-in-law. She noted, however, that convincing Iyabo to approve the relationship was a bigger challenge.

“At the time, we didn’t have any Tanzanian ties, nor had we been there. It all just seemed so far-fetched. But the little time I spent around Juma in Rwanda was enough to know he was a good man with a good heart, absolutely smitten by Priscy from the start.”

“It wasn’t easy convincing Iyabo. I remember walking all the way from Oxford Circus to the end of Knightsbridge (almost two hours), trying to persuade her. Even after that, she would call every other hour saying, ‘But Chioma, this blog said this, and that blog said that.’”

“I’d respond, ‘You and I both know most gossip blogs are inaccurate and unfounded.’ Plus, I had grilled Juma enough in Rwanda when he expressed his profound interest in my little sis, so as God would have it, I had solid answers for every single one of Iyabo’s concerns.”

Chioma added that Iyabo eventually agreed—but with one major condition: Juma had to be serious about marrying Priscilla if he wanted to date her.

“Shortly after that, she said, ‘Well, if she’s going to date him, then he better be ready to marry her,’ and I said, ‘I promise you he will.’ (He told me he wanted to marry her from day one.) Like a joke, we started planning the wedding during that call. This was in August 2024.”

“It was so funny because they had just become official boyfriend and girlfriend, and here we were, speaking the actual details of a wedding into existence. Iyabo was already saying they must come to Nigeria for the engagement, and then we could have another ceremony in their country too.”

“I was laughing at first because of how detailed she was being, but I quickly got serious—because anyone who truly knows Iyabo knows how prophetic she is. Whatever she says with her mouth often comes to pass. Fast-forward barely three months later, and we were planning the actual wedding: #JP2025.”

“@iyaboojofespris, I want to honour you today for the incredible human that you are. This wedding has truly shown how deeply loved you are, and I’m happy that nations are calling you blessed. Thank you for handing over Priscilla to me as my little sister, just the way you’ve taken me as yours.”

Iyabo’s daughter, Priscilla Ojo, and Tanzanian singer Jux recently held their traditional and white wedding ceremonies in Lagos.
