Regina Daniels quits Instagram as Ned Nwoko denies marriage to Chika Ike

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has deactivated her Instagram account.

While the reason for this action remains unclear, it comes amid rumors about her husband, Ned Munir Nwoko, allegedly marrying and impregnating another actress, Chika Ike.

This is not the first time Nwoko and Ike have been linked in rumors. In 2020, a viral video insinuated that Ike and the politician had been in a relationship before he married Daniels. However, Ike denied the rumors at the time but has not revealed the identity of the father of her unborn child or her current partner.

Ned Nwoko, a Nigerian politician and philanthropist, has denied the rumors that he fathered a child with Chika Ike. The rumors, which circulated on social media, also claimed that Nwoko and Ike were planning to marry soon.

These speculations gained traction after Ike announced that she was expecting her first child.

Denying the rumors, Nwoko’s director of communications released a statement on his social media pages, calling the claims malicious.

The statement reads, “Our attention has been drawn to recent false rumors alleging that Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko is planning to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that she is pregnant for him.”

“We categorically state that these claims are entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation. Similarly, reports claiming he made statements about Tuface and polygamy are completely untrue.”

“As a public figure, and with his wife also being an actress, it is not unusual for bloggers seeking attention to fabricate such stories. However, Senator Nwoko is currently on a national assignment, focused on delivering on his political mandate, and has no time for distractions.”

“This office remains available to journalists for verification of information, and we remind media practitioners of the consequences of spreading fake news. The public is advised to disregard these rumors and rely only on official statements from his office.”
