Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has applauded the Federal Government of Nigeria for agreeing to allow Lagos host the 2027 Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF).

The governor disclosed that the agreement was signed on Monday at a ceremony organised by the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts, Iganmu, Lagos.

According to Sanwo-Olu the fair would boost trade and investment opportunities across the African continent.

While addressing newsmen, the Lagos State governor stated that Lagos is fully prepared to host the historic event, assuring stakeholders that Lagos would deliver a memorable and successful fair as enough infrastructure and amenities are in place.

“We are ready in Lagos to host what will be a historic and masterpiece edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair. This event will be a defining moment for Africa to take its rightful place in the committee of nations. We are determined that the 2027 edition will be the best IATF ever hosted on the African continent,” he said.
