By Kunle Sanni –
Vice President Kashim Shettima has extended heartfelt birthday wishes to the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her 65th birthday, describing her as a symbol of unity, compassion, and service to humanity.
In a statement personally signed on Sunday, the Vice President praised the First Lady’s contributions to nation-building through the Renewed Hope Initiative — a programme he said has positively touched millions of lives across the country.
“She has demonstrated legendary commitment to uplifting humanity, empowering women and youth, and supporting education and the less privileged,” Shettima said.
He noted that Mrs. Tinubu’s role as a supportive partner to President Bola Tinubu has been a source of strength for the administration, while her warmth and empathy continue to resonate with Nigerians.
“As history is written, her name will be inscribed in gold for her passion, service, and sense of decorum, which have contributed immensely to our nation’s progress,” he added.
Shettima described the milestone as a celebration not just of age, but of decades of “brilliant motherhood, exemplary service, and resilience.” He prayed for her continued health, peace, and fulfillment in the years ahead.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu, a former three-term senator representing Lagos Central, became Nigeria’s First Lady in May 2023. Since then, she has championed causes around women’s empowerment, youth development, and social welfare under the Renewed Hope Initiative.
