The Soun of Ogbomoso, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, has commended the management of Ayede Polytechnic for the remarkable progress made since the institution’s establishment.
During a courtesy visit to the Polytechnic on Friday, the monarch, accompanied by his chief, expressed confidence in the competence of the institution’s leadership.
“I must commend the Rector and the board for the impressive work they’ve done since inception,” Oba Olaoye said. “The destiny of any institution lies in the quality of its leadership. The standards you set today in infrastructure, academics, and discipline will shape its future.”

He encouraged the management to aim higher and build a legacy of excellence that would inspire future generations.
While demanding more from the leadership, the monarch pledged his full support towards transforming the Polytechnic into a full-fledged university.
“We are ready to stand with you. It’s only by setting high standards that the vision of becoming a university can be achieved,” he said. “The institution’s growth depends on development, rebranding, and collective effort — especially from the sons and daughters of Ogbomosoland.”
