The Permanent Secretary of the State House, Temitope Fashedemi, has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as a man of integrity and deep commitment to the welfare of Nigerians.

Speaking after signing the condolence register at the State House in Abuja on Wednesday, Fashedemi praised Buhari’s legacy as a visionary leader who dedicated his life to building a better Nigeria.

“You were indeed a great man with passion for duty and totally focused on nation-building,” Fashedemi wrote. “You were very committed to the improvement of the livelihood of the majority of our citizens, especially the poor amongst us.”

He noted that those who worked with Buhari within the State House and the broader public service could attest to his strong sense of duty and selfless service to the country.

“For those of us in the State House and the larger public service, we can vouch for your concern for the nation and that you gave your best to our country, Nigeria,” he said. “You will be forever missed.”

Fashedemi offered prayers for divine mercy and eternal rest for the former president.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had earlier directed that condolence registers be opened across all federal ministries, departments, agencies, and Nigerian embassies and missions worldwide in honour of the late leader.
