Tinubu appoints Arinola Ogbara-Banjoko to commodity exchange board

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Mrs Arinola Ogbara-Banjoko as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of the Nigeria Commodity Exchange, where she will represent Lagos State.
This was contained in a statement signed by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, on Thursday.
According to the Presidency, Mrs Ogbara-Banjoko replaces Mrs Bamidele Hussein as Lagos State’s representative on the board.
She previously served as Coordinator of the Lagos State Special Offences Mobile Court.
The Presidency said the appointment is aimed at strengthening commodity trading operations and expanding market access for farmers and investors.
It added: “The President expects the new appointee to bring her wealth of experience and professionalism to bear in strengthening the Exchange’s operations and supporting the Federal Government’s drive to deepen commodity trading, market access for farmers and investors, and stimulate economic growth.”
President Tinubu had earlier in April reconstituted the Exchange’s board, appointing Mr Dalhatu Abubakar as Chairman, alongside other Non-Executive Directors.
