President Bola Tinubu has extended warm congratulations to two of his close allies, Mr. Fredrick Nwabufo and Senator Gbenga Ashafa, as they celebrate milestone birthdays on July 22, 2025.

In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Nwabufo, his Senior Special Assistant on Public Engagement, as a sharp-minded journalist and communications expert dedicated to public service and national unity.

Tinubu highlighted Nwabufo’s contributions to his 2022–2023 presidential campaign as a key figure in the Public Affairs Directorate of the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council. He also praised him for leading the Journalists for a United Nigeria (JUN), and for consistently promoting patriotism and youth inclusion in governance.

Also celebrating Senator Ashafa, Tinubu commended the former Managing Director of the Federal Housing Authority for his lifelong dedication to public service and his significant role in the APC.

He recalled Ashafa’s efforts as a two-term senator, especially during his time as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Land Transport, where he helped to revamp Nigeria’s railway sector.

The President further noted Ashafa’s earlier service in Lagos State, including roles as Executive Secretary of the Land Use and Allocation Committee in 2001 and Permanent Secretary of the Lands Bureau in 2005.

Describing Ashafa as a steady hand in governance and party building, Tinubu hailed his contributions to national development and his loyalty to the progressive cause.

The President offered prayers for both men, wishing them continued strength, good health, and long-lasting impact in their service to Nigeria.
