Tinubu celebrates Chief of Staff’s mother at 96, hails legacy of service and leadership

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Alhaja Lateefat Olufunke Gbajabiamila, mother of his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, as she marked her 96th birthday.

In a statement on Monday by the State House and signed by the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described the nonagenarian as a symbol of resilience, industry and lifelong service to God and humanity.

Tinubu commended her trailblazing achievement as the first female elected local government chairperson in Lagos State, noting that her tenure laid a strong foundation for grassroots development and inspired greater female participation in local governance.

He also highlighted her professional accomplishments as a United Kingdom-trained nurse, praising her dedication to healthcare and her role in mentoring younger generations within the profession.

The President offered prayers for her continued good health and strength, expressing hope that she would enjoy many more years of impactful service to her community and the nation.
