Tonto Dikeh drops ‘King’ title, embraces evangelist identity

Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has publicly renounced her former title, stating that she no longer wishes to be addressed as “King Tonto Dikeh.”

The actress made the announcement via her Instagram page, where she urged the public to refrain from referring to her as a king. She, however, suggested alternative titles by which she would prefer to be addressed.

Tonto listed a number of preferred titles, including “Evangelist Tonto Dikeh”, “woman of God”, “Big T”, among others.

“From today onward, I will no longer be addressed as ‘King Tonto Dikeh.’ You may now address me as ‘Evangelist Tonto Dikeh,’ a woman of God, or simply Tonto Dikeh or Auntie Tonto,” she wrote.

The actress has recently been in the spotlight over her renewed faith, frequently proclaiming God’s presence in her life and endeavours.

Her recent reunion with her ex-spouse, after a decade of public controversy, has also kept her in the public eye. Tonto said she was inspired by God to seek peace amid the crisis.
