Tinubu congratulates Ondo Governor-elect Lucky Aiyedatiwa on victory

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on his victory in Saturday’s Ondo State governorship election. He also commended the peaceful conduct of the electoral process.
In his message, the President lauded Aiyedatiwa and candidates from the 17 political parties for their maturity and sense of purpose during the campaigns and the election. He attributed the successful outcome of the polls to the civility displayed by the people of Ondo State.
President Tinubu called on all political actors to maintain the orderly conduct that characterized the election throughout the post-election processes.
Describing the Ondo election as a significant test for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the President affirmed that the electoral body demonstrated its capacity and justified public confidence through its early preparations, efficient deployment of staff and materials, and overall management of the process.
He particularly commended INEC for its promptness in uploading over 98% of the election results on the same day.
The President also expressed appreciation to security agencies, including the Nigerian Police Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Federal Road Safety Corps, National Youth Service Corps, and the military, for their professionalism in maintaining peace and order during the election.
Finally, President Tinubu urged any dissatisfied candidates to seek redress through the judicial system, emphasizing the importance of resolving conflicts within the bounds of the law.
