Tinubu deserves second term, says Ojodu LCDA chairman

Chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos, Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku, has declared that President Bola Tinubu deserves a second term in office, citing his administration’s achievements in stabilizing the economy and driving national development.

Odunmbaku made the remark while backing the Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for endorsing President Tinubu to run for a second term in 2027.

The endorsement took place at the APC stakeholders’ forum held on Tuesday, October 21, at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, where party leaders at both the state and national levels, former Lagos governors, council chairmen, and thousands of party faithful unanimously supported the President’s re-election bid.

According to Odunmbaku, Nigeria has witnessed remarkable progress under the Renewed Hope Agenda, with significant reforms and projects that have positively impacted the nation’s economy and infrastructure.

He highlighted key achievements of the Tinubu administration, including the clearance of over $10 billion in foreign exchange liabilities, which helped stabilize the naira; securing over $50 billion in new Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) commitments; over 440 ongoing road projects nationwide such as the Lagos-Calabar coastal road; the Presidential Loan and Grant Scheme; and the Students’ Loan Scheme benefiting more than 300,000 students.

“President Bola Tinubu truly deserves a second term in office, and the endorsement by our party in Lagos State is an indication of the confidence we have in him and his administration. He has stabilized the economy and improved other critical sectors. As Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, on behalf of my people, we are in full support of this endorsement and will ensure the party wins in 2027,” Odunmbaku said.

He added that the achievements of President Tinubu at the national level reflect the development strides in Ojodu LCDA, where his administration has implemented programmes in poverty alleviation, youth empowerment, renovation of health centres, road construction, and education under his HEYES five-point agenda.

Odunmbaku urged party members and Lagos residents to remain united and committed to supporting President Tinubu’s re-election, assuring that his second term would consolidate the gains already recorded under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
