President Bola Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to veteran industrialist and business leader Oyin Jolayemi on the occasion of his 85th birthday.

In a statement issued by presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, the President praised Jolayemi’s enduring contributions to Nigeria’s economic development and described him as a symbol of resilience, enterprise, and national pride.

Jolayemi, founder and chairman of the Daily Need Group of Companies, is widely regarded as a pioneer in Nigeria’s indigenous pharmaceutical and consumer goods sectors. Originally from Iludun Oro in Kwara State, he rose from modest beginnings after relocating to Lagos at the age of 13.

President Tinubu commended the octogenarian’s remarkable journey from humble roots to the pinnacle of business success, calling it “a story of determination and perseverance that should inspire the younger generation.”

The President also acknowledged Jolayemi’s role in job creation, his unwavering faith in Nigeria’s future, and his lifelong commitment to empowering young people through enterprise.

“Chief Jolayemi’s life is a testament to hard work, industry, and patriotic commitment,” Tinubu said. “His legacy is not only in the businesses he built, but in the lives he has touched and the opportunities he created for others.”
