In a statement issued on Tuesday by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised the Emir’s legacy of service, dedication to national unity, and contributions to development. Alhaji Sulu-Gambari, a retired Justice of the Court of Appeal, also serves as Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Traditional Rulers.

The President commended the royal father’s steadfast commitment to peace and progress, as well as his service as Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, and the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi.

He joined the Emir’s family, the Ilorin Emirate, and the people of Kwara State in celebrating the milestone, praying for his continued strength and good health.

In a separate message, President Tinubu congratulated Barrister Adeniji Kazeem on his unanimous selection as President of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society Worldwide during its triennial delegates’ conference in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Kazeem, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and former Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, was described by the President as a committed leader whose appointment marks a new generation of leadership for the over century-old Islamic organization.

“Your well-deserved emergence at the helm of this esteemed Islamic organisation is a testament to the leadership qualities exhibited in your life and career,” the President said.

“I am confident you will use your experience to advance the spiritual and educational development of Muslims worldwide, particularly in Nigeria.”
