Tinubu launches RenewHER to tackle maternal mortality, empower women

President Bola Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, on Thursday evening unveiled RenewHER — the Presidential Women’s Health Transformation Initiative — at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The programme aims to combat maternal mortality, empower women, and strengthen Nigeria’s health system. According to the presidency, RenewHER will provide targeted interventions to improve access to quality healthcare for women and address long-standing challenges contributing to poor maternal outcomes across the country.

Government officials described the initiative as a landmark step in advancing female health and ensuring stronger support systems for mothers and families nationwide.
