Tinubu orders probe into Karu tanker explosion, mourns victims

President Bola Tinubu has ordered a full investigation into the tanker explosion that claimed multiple lives and caused severe damage in Karu, Abuja, on Wednesday night.

According to a statement on Thursday by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, the President expressed his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the tragic incident, which occurred during peak traffic hours.

He also directed that all injured victims receive urgent medical attention in hospitals across the capital city.

Tinubu further instructed security agencies, particularly those responsible for road safety, to strengthen traffic management around Abuja’s entry and exit points to prevent similar accidents in the future.

The President prayed for the souls of the departed and urged God to grant strength and comfort to their grieving families.
