Tinubu’s re-election non-negotiable, Ondo APC leaders declare

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State have vowed to mobilise massive support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, describing his victory as a task that must be achieved.
The APC leaders, under the Action Group, made the declaration on Monday in Owo during a meeting attended by party elders and other stakeholders to commence grassroots mobilisation ahead of the presidential poll.
The Coordinator of the Action Group in Owo and former Ondo State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Adekola Olawoye (SAN), said the group would work with other party members to secure a convincing victory for Tinubu in the state.
Olawoye said, “The re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027 is not just a political project; it is a non-negotiable national assignment. We must rally round him, speak with one voice and deliver Owo and Ondo State massively.”
He highlighted increased allocations to states, infrastructure development, the student loan scheme, local government autonomy and social intervention programmes as some of the administration’s achievements, saying Ondo had also benefited from federal appointments and projects.
The former commissioner also seized the opportunity to dismiss reports of a political rift between Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, insisting that both leaders remained focused on securing Tinubu’s victory.
“We don’t see any rift between BTO and Aiyedatiwa because the two of them belong to the same party. Aiyedatiwa wants to deliver to the president, and BTO wants to deliver to the president. They are yearning for the same vote,” he stated.
A former member of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Ajibola Adegoroye, said grassroots mobilisation had begun across the 15 wards in Owo, expressing confidence that the town and the state would deliver overwhelming support for Tinubu in 2027.
