Tiwa Savage admits to being nervous at King Charles’ coronation concert

Afrobeat First Lady, Tiwa Savage has admitted in a TV interview in the United Kingdom that she was nervous on stage during her globally applauded performance at the concert to celebrate the coronation of King Charles in May this year.
Tiwa who said she was nervous for few seconds after getting on the big stage and regained herself, has been praised for pulling a brilliant performance.
”I was nervous for the first few seconds and it almost ruined the show but as soon as I started singing, I have to just get swept away by the crowd,” she revealed.
While Tiwa may have been a little tensed, the audience didn’t seem to notice or care. Many fans and celebrities gleefully danced and sang along to her music.
Speaking recently about her performance on that day and what people didn’t know happened to her few seconds into the show, Savage revealed that she was nervous for first few seconds but got her groove back as soon as she started singing.
“The performance was beautiful. It was such an amazing moment to represent the Commonwealth and to be on that stage.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain TV Show, Savage described the British Queen Consort, Camilla, as “very lovely”.
Speaking on Afrobeats and its effects on global music, she said: “I think Afrobeat is really the beginning for popular black music. So when you think of Hip-hop, RnB, Soul, it stemmed from Africa. So, it is really a full circle moment to see that Afrobeat is getting the attention and the limelight it is getting right now.”
Tiwa who started her music career abroad as a backup singer became the first Nigerian artiste to perform at a British royal event.
