Tonto Dikeh denies rumours of reunion with ex-husband Churchill

Actress Tonto Dikeh has condemned an Instagram post by anonymous blogger Gistlover, which speculated that she was romantically involved with her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill, during their son King Andre’s birthday party in Abuja.

The speculation stemmed from photos shared from the party, including one where Tonto hugged Churchill. In another viral clip, she was seen conversing closely with a man who bears a resemblance to Churchill, prompting rumours about a rekindled romance.

The images were later edited into a video using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and posted on Tuesday by Gistlover, suggesting that the ex-couple had reunited.

Reacting to the post, Tonto described it as misleading and scandalous. She clarified that the man in question is actually Churchill’s uncle, who cared for her during the birth of King Andre in the United States.

She urged bloggers to exercise more thoughtfulness and sensitivity before posting such content, noting that the speculation was disrespectful to both her and the man involved, as well as their families.

“This is completely inappropriate and inaccurate. He is Churchill’s uncle and, by extension, my uncle as well. My son was born in his home under his care and protection. His wife, Aunty Vivian, took me to the hospital when I went into labour.

“They opened their home to me for six months. In a country as demanding as America, they ensured that my baby and I were well cared for—feeding us, clothing us, and providing a roof over our heads. They did this out of love, without hesitation.

“Please, Oremi, this narrative is deeply disrespectful to him, to me, and to our families. I would appreciate more thoughtfulness and sensitivity moving forward,” she wrote.
