Uzodimma sacks Commissioner for Justice

The governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, has approved the immediate removal of the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Cyprian Akaolisa.

In a statement on Monday signed by the Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation, and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, the removed Attorney General has been directed to hand over all government property in his possession.

According to the statement, Akaolisa is to hand it over to the State Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice, without delay.

However, the statement which announced Akaolisa’s removal did not disclose the reason the governor took the decision.
