VP Shettima departs Borno for Lagos

Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Maiduguri for Lagos after a visit that combined condolences to victims of recent tragic incidents in Borno state and participation in Eid al-Fitr celebrations.

Representing President Bola Tinubu, the Vice President met with affected families and communities, conveying the Federal Government’s sympathies and reaffirming its commitment to the welfare and security of citizens in Borno and the wider Northeast.

Senator Shettima also joined thousands of Muslim faithful at Ramat Square for Eid prayers, accompanied by Governor Babagana Zulum, the Deputy Governor, and other federal and state officials, before concluding his visit and heading to Lagos.
