Yoruba film stars have rallied support for their colleague, Ajara Lasisi, fondly known as Aunty Ajara, as she battles a serious health crisis.

News of her deteriorating condition was shared by actors Adeniyi Johnson, Apesin Oluwakemisola, Wunmi Toriola and others, who posted videos showing the actress hospitalised in critical condition. The viral footage shows Aunty Ajara on a life-support machine, with oxygen visibly connected to assist her breathing, suggesting she is receiving intensive care.

According to reports, her health condition remains critical despite ongoing medical treatment, prompting a wave of concern and appeals for additional funds to improve her care and support possible surgery.

The appeal for support gained widespread attention in late January 2026, with several Yoruba film stars using social media to call for financial assistance to help offset her medical bills. Donation details were shared across multiple platforms to encourage public support.

Aunty Ajara is a popular Nigerian Yoruba actress and content creator, widely known for her comic roles in films and online skits, and is regarded as a familiar face in the Yoruba film industry.
