2Face part ways with manager, Efe Omorogbe after 20 years

Nigerian Afrobeats legend Innocent Idibia aka 2Face Idibia has parted ways with manager, Efe Omorogbe of Now Muzik management after 20 years.

In a recent statement, 2Face and Efe agreed to part ways amicably after 20 years.

“Two of Nigeria’s most iconic contemporary music brands, the revered pop giant Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia, and respected management label, Now Muzik, announced today the end of their partnership of over two decades. The mutual disengagement is with mutual effect,” the statement read in parts.

Reacting to the end of their business partnership, author, writer and music chronologist, Jide Taiwo noted that the end of the relationship might be fractured.

“After a 20-year run, Efe and 2face end their partnership. The literal “Twenty children cannot play together for twenty years.”

It’s a nicely worded statement, but the framing of the last line suggests to me that their relationship might be fractured as well,” he tweeted.
