LASG unveils ‘Lagos Creative Vault’ to empower youths

Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Tourism, under the Special Adviser on Culture, Arts, and Tourism, Hon. Idris Aregbe, has unveiled the “Lagos Creative Vault” initiative.
The groundbreaking three-day training program was designed to equip 200 participants with cutting-edge skills in creative industries, empowering them to transform their talents into sustainable businesses.
According to the government, the program offers hands-on training in photography, videography, graphic design, mural arts, and DJing.
Participants will also gain insights into digital marketing, customer service, and entrepreneurship, ensuring a comprehensive approach to creative empowerment.
The program structure includes foundational sessions, practical training, and mentorship. Participants will explore storytelling techniques, color theory, and digital tools, with collaborative projects to foster teamwork and innovation.
Each session was designed to enhance creativity and professional readiness.
Top 10 participants from each discipline will advance to a one-month accelerator program featuring project pitching sessions and grant opportunities.
Internships with partner companies will also offer on-the-job experience, further boosting participants’ career trajectories.
Additionally, the program would integrate customer engagement strategies, equipping attendees with skills for effective communication and brand management.
The final phase would include certificate presentations and showcasing of completed projects.
This initiative underscores Lagos State’s commitment to nurturing creative talent, fostering innovation, and positioning Lagos as a hub for arts and culture.
The “Lagos Creative Vault” is a testament to the state’s dedication to youth empowerment and economic growth.
