Chief Executive Officer of the Olalekan Ayinla Movement, Hon. Olalekan Ayinla, has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the 2026 Democracy Day celebration, calling on citizens to uphold peace, love and justice for the advancement of democracy in the country.

In his Democracy Day message, Ayinla urged Nigerians to remain committed to the ideals of democratic governance and to safeguard the freedoms and rights that democracy guarantees.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart stressed the importance of protecting democratic institutions, warning that citizens must not take their hard-earned democratic gains for granted.

According to him, Democracy Day serves as an opportunity to reflect on the nation’s progress and recommit to the collective responsibility of building a stronger and more inclusive society.

“Today, we honour not only the right to vote but also the strength that comes from unity, inclusion and the collective responsibility we share in building a stronger nation,” he said.

Ayinla noted that democracy thrives when every citizen is given equal opportunities and treated with dignity, regardless of social status, background or physical ability.

He also highlighted the activities of the Olalekan Ayinla Foundation, saying the organisation remains committed to empowering the less privileged, supporting widows, promoting inclusivity and nurturing future leaders.

The APC chieftain urged Nigerians to embrace active citizenship and continue to promote peace, justice and love in their communities, expressing optimism that sustained commitment to these values would strengthen democracy and accelerate national development.
