NNPC pledges industrial harmony as Ojulari meets new NUPENG leaders

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has pledged to sustain industrial harmony through constructive engagement and effective labour relations as its group chief executive officer, Bashir Bayo Ojulari, met with the newly elected leadership of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG).
The meeting, held at the NNPC Towers in Abuja on Tuesday, was led by NUPENG National President, Otunba Salimon Akanni Oladiti.
Ojulari congratulated the new executives on their emergence and the smooth transition of leadership, acknowledging the important role of labour unions in protecting workers’ interests and promoting a conducive working environment.

He said sustained dialogue with organised labour encourages the exchange of ideas, strengthens mutual understanding and helps resolve issues through established channels, thereby promoting industrial peace.
In his remarks, Oladiti described NUPENG as a constructive partner in supporting the smooth operations of NNPC Limited.
He expressed the union’s readiness to collaborate with the company’s management to advance workers’ welfare, sustain industrial harmony and promote the growth of Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
