The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Oyo State, Sharafadeen Alli, has donated ₦50 million to support traders at the Gbagi Market in Ibadan following a devastating fire incident.

Accompanied by his running mate, Hon. Adesoji Micheal Adedeji, the candidate paid an official visit to the affected market site to assess the scale of destruction firsthand.

During the visit, Alli expressed deep empathy for the business owners whose livelihoods were severely impacted by the sudden inferno.

He acknowledged the intense financial hardship and distress caused by the destruction of goods and commercial property across the market premises.

Consequently, the governorship candidate provided the substantial financial grant specifically to assist the victims in rebuilding their shops and recovering their losses.

Explaining his motivation, Alli emphasised that genuine leadership demands standing shoulder-to-shoulder with citizens during times of tragedy rather than merely offering empty political promises.

Furthermore, he stressed that political figures must take active responsibility for helping local communities recover whenever unexpected disasters strike.

Ultimately, this ₦50 million intervention is expected to bring immediate relief to the affected traders as they begin the vital work of restoring their commercial operations.
