Bobrisky’s award was to attract attention to ‘Ajakaju,’ Eniola Ajao

Nollywood actor and producer Eniola Ajao has admitted that the controversial best dressed award given to transgender, Bobrisky, during the premiere of her film, ‘Ajakaju: Beast of two worlds,’ was a deliberate action.

Ajao made this known in a recent interview on television.

She said her team arranged for the award to be given to Bobrisky so as to draw attention to the film afterwards.

“Femi Adebayo is my boss and he knew nothing about the award, we only approached him to present the award to Bobrisky, not that he knew anything about the judging process or anything,” Ajao said in the interview.

Meanwhile, the action by Ajao and her team has had a spiral effect leaving Adebayo as a victim.

The actor has been bashed online by social media users for presenting the award to the transgender while colleagues like Dayo Amusa have also called him out for being involved in such action.

Amusa, in a viral video, said Adebayo has regretted the actions and has been condemned by religious leaders as well as securing an invitation by the police for promoting homosexuality.
