BREAKING: Ex-Accountant-General of the Federation, Otunla is dead
Former Accountant-General of the Federation, Mr Jonah Otunla has reportedly died.
According to The Street Journal, Mr Otunla died on Monday, June 17 in the United Kingdom.
Mr Otunla was a financial accountant who served on the board of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
He was appointed accountant-general of Oyo State in 1989 and later joined the Federal Civil Service.
In 2011, former president Goodluck Jonathan appointed Otunla as accountant-general of the federation. He retired from the Federal Civil Service in 2015.
Mr Otunla was accused of diverting public funds amounting to billions of naira and has been in and out of court until his demise.
