BREAKING: Fire engulfs Wuse Market, Abuja
The well-known Wuse market in Abuja’s Central Area has been engulfed by fire. The cause of the fire outbreak was unknown at the time of filing this report,
The incident caused chaos, confusion, and heavy traffic on all the roads that led into the market.
When police officers arrived, they blocked the entrance to keep people out as they fired shots and released tear gas into the air.
The parking lot near the northern entrance was burnt, and a few cars caught in the fire as individuals within the market were seen pushing through the perimeter fence to get outside.
Firefighters have however arrived at the scene
