BREAKING: Ondo shuts St Louis Primary School

The Ondo State Government has ordered the immediate and indefinite closure of St Louis Primary School, Ondo, in Ondo West Local Government Area over alleged violations of education regulations.
The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun, issued the directive, citing the school’s continued failure to comply with state guidelines governing the operation of private schools.
Ajibefun said the decision followed repeated infractions and what he described as a disregard for established regulatory standards in the education sector.
He explained that the action was part of the state government’s resolve to ensure that all private educational institutions operate strictly within the legal and administrative framework of Ondo State.
The commissioner stressed that the closure would remain in force until the school fully meets all regulatory requirements and formally recognises the state’s supervisory authority.
He urged parents and guardians of pupils enrolled at the school to comply with the directive and make alternative arrangements without delay.
Ajibefun reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to maintaining and enforcing acceptable standards across the education system in Ondo State.
