FG renames UniAbuja in honour of ex-Head of State, Yakubu Gowon

The Federal Executive Council has approved the renaming of the University of Abuja to the Yakubu Gowon University.
The minister of information, Idris Mohammed said the processes would be taken to the National Assembly to effect the change.
“FEC has taken the proposal to the National Assembly to honour the former military head of state,” he said.
