The Federation of International Football Association (FIFA), has approved the switching of goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo from England to Nigeria.

The 24-year-old, who previously represented England at youth level, is now eligible to feature for Nigeria following confirmation on FIFA’s change of association platform.

Okonkwo, a product of Arsenal FC’s academy, joined Wrexham AFC after loan spells at Crewe Alexandra and Sturm Graz, and has since become the club’s first-choice goalkeeper. He has made over 100 appearances and played a key role in their successive promotions.

His switch adds depth to Nigeria’s goalkeeping options, with Okonkwo bringing experience and strong form into contention for future national team selections.
