Film star Obadare-Akpata passes away

Nigerian actor, film director, and production designer Olusegun Obadare-Akpata has passed away.
The news of Obadare-Akpata’s death was announced by his family in a statement signed by Adesuwa Isénérè.
The family noted that Obadare-Akpata breathed his last on Thursday, August 1, at the age of 67.
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, and grandfather, Mr. Olusegun Obadare-Akpata, who departed this life on Thursday, August 1, at the age of 67.
“Obadare-Akpata was a true creative maven, whose remarkable talents as a production designer, film director, and actor left an indelible mark on the creative arts of Nigeria.
“His contributions to the industry and the lives he touched through his work will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him,” the statement read.
The family also mentioned, “Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course. We ask that you keep his loved ones in your thoughts during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace.”
