Fubara visits Tinubu in Presidential Villa
Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, had a private meeting with President Bola Tinubu on Thursday night at the presidential villa in Abuja.
The Rivers governor departed the Presidential Villa after the meeting at about 6 pm without speaking with journalists on the purpose for the visit.
The meeting comes less than a month after Fubara met with Tinubu for the second time following the signing of an eight-point presidential peace deal to resolve the political situation in Rivers.
During the meeting on December 18, 2023, Fubara and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, agreed to end their political feud
The meeting had in attendance of ex-Rivers governor, Peter Odili; some traditional rulers from the state as well as Vice President Kashim Shettima; and the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, some resolutions were made.
