Mutfwang reaffirms commitment to people-centred development

In a renewed pledge to deliver people-oriented governance, the governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, has reiterated his commitment to translating policies into tangible impacts that address the needs of the people.
Mutfwang, who was together with his Wife, Barr. Helen Mutfwang made the pledge during a Pentecost Sunday Service at St. Luke’s Cathedral, Anglican Communion, Rwang Pam Street, Jos.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Governor, Gyang Bere.
He described Pentecost as a momentous event in Christendom, marking the descent of the Holy Spirit upon believers, empowering them for God’s work on earth.
Encouraging the Church to remain steadfast in love and unity, the governor thanked the congregation for their steadfast prayers for the success of his administration and for peace across Plateau State.

According to him, the root challenge remains poverty, which must be tackled with determination and a multi-dimensional approach.
Mutfwang also revealed that plans are underway to return all missionary schools to their original owners, in line with the state’s commitment to educational revival.
Earlier in his sermon titled “The Power of Pentecost,” the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Jos, Rt. Rev. Dr. Ephraim J. Gongden, emphasized the indispensability of the Holy Spirit in the life of every believer. He urged Christians to live out the fruits of the Holy Spirit in their daily lives.
