President Bola Tinubu has congratulated former Bauchi State Governor and ex-National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Ahmadu Adamu Mu’azu, on the occasion of his 70th birthday.
In a statement released on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described Mu’azu as an accomplished public servant and prominent political figure whose relevance has endured due to his “strength of character and dignified comportment.”
Reflecting on their shared tenure as governors between 1999 and 2007, Tinubu praised Mu’azu’s leadership in Bauchi State, noting the impact of his administration through significant investments in education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
“As Governor of Bauchi State, your tenure was known for implementing various developmental projects and initiatives that made a remarkable difference in the lives of Bauchi citizens,” Tinubu said.
The President also commended Mu’azu’s role during his time as PDP National Chairman from 2014 to 2015, recalling how he upheld democratic values even as his party conceded defeat in the historic 2015 general elections.
“Though your party lost the 2015 presidential election to our party, the All Progressives Congress, you placed democratic values and the strengthening of political institutions in the country above party interests,” the statement concluded.
