How Iyabo Ojo sold Nigeria to the world with daughter’s wedding, by Bode Mebude

Folks, let’s look beyond the effizi, the glam and the one-of-its-kind of Iyabo Ojo’s daughter Cinderella wedding that may likely remained unmatched, unbeaten and unequalled till ‘Detty December’ when looked at the social, economic and Naija’s image perception that comes with it.

For the first time, I never took these our movie artistes, most especially the female ones so seriously until this moment’s fairytale wedding not of Otedola, Dangote or Elumelu’s spoilt kids one but eniti aaa koro wipe kooni jobojobo laapa bi osere oni tiata Yoruba!

For the past 72 hours, the internet has never had it so hot in a party coverage and attendance in Nigeria’s celebrity functions like Iyabo Ojo’s shindig to the extent of blanking out the billionaires party of the so called Mr Money na water Obi Cubana!

One, she thought these Lekki single mothers how to be responsible and be mother-rock to their children, effectively balanced stepfather/biological father representation ni ojo eye without beef nor acrimony, portrayed Nigeria as the next destination for events,entertainment, fashion/music headquarters of Africa, sold Nigeria as a very friendly and safe country and created a never-to-be forgotten experience for Nigeria as a culturally endowed wanna be.

Iyabo Ojo has finished work for every one of us whenever we visit any African country now as it did for me when I entered a sports shop in Jeddah,Saudi Arabia in early 1992 and so I tried to just juggle a football playfully despite not being a footballer.

Immediately, from no where people gathered as soon as I told them I came from Nigeria thinking that I was Rashidi Yekini’s brother judging from the way I shakara with the ball lol 😂

My brother! , within 30mins a football club owner appeared and offered me a contract as a coach, of which I gleefully accepted with bountiful irresistible offer until I ‘fuck@d up on the field when I don’t know how to do it lol.

If I had known how to play football, I would have blown heavily by now.
So, what Iyabo Ojo did this weekend, it’s a national image building and much much kundus to all who made Nigeria proud at the party.
