How Obiano’s wife, Bianca Ojukwu fought at Soludo’s inauguration as Anambra governor

An eyewitness who does not want his name out has narrated how wife of outgone Governor of Anambra State Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano and Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu entered into fisticuffs at the inauguration ceremony of Professor Charles  Chukwuma Soludo.

The eyewitness who was present at the ceremony told WESTERN POST that Mrs. Obiano sauntered into the inauguration venue after her husband and other dignitaries had already seated and went straight to accost Mrs. Ojukwu.

“Contrary to media reports, it was Bianca that first slapped Obiano’s wife and she returned in kind,” our source said.

“There had been bad blood between the two women for some time and I think it blew open today. It was such a shameful thing that two top women had what can be described as a street brawl at such an important occasion.

“What actually happened was that Obiano’s wife went straight to Bianca to say some things that were uncomplimentary to her instead of taking her seat. Ojukwu’s out of anger slapped her.

“Ebelechukwu disrespected her husband and the new governor. Nobody expects anything better from her because that is how she has carried her since Willie became Governor.

I think she is having a withdrawal syndrome now that it has dawned on her that her power and relevance has come to an end. She operated for 8 years as the defacto governor,” the eyewitness added.

Bianca fell out with Willie Obiano and the leadership of All Progressives Grand Alliance in the state since 2019 when she was denied the opportunity to pick a senatorial ticket.

According to sources close to the party, Bianca considered it a slight to the memory of her husband to be denied a senatorial ticket by the party Ojukwu founded and by those who still use his name, even in death, to canvass for votes.
