The Managing Director and CEO of Innoson Motors, Innocent Chukwuma, has called for patience and support for the current administration’s efforts.

Speaking to reporters at the State House in Abuja after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu on Thursday, Chukwuma expressed strong confidence in Tinubu’s leadership, predicting that Nigeria will see significant improvements under his guidance.

“Let everyone calm down for him; they will see a better Nigeria from Tinubu,” Chukwuma remarked.

Chukwuma explained that his visit was primarily aimed at encouraging the President during these challenging times. He emphasized the importance of patience, stating, “People must be patient. I know how Mr. President operates, and if everyone remains calm, they will witness a better Nigeria.”

The Innoson CEO also highlighted the ongoing partnerships between the government and Innoson Motors, assuring the public that the brand’s presence will soon be widespread across the country.

He expressed optimism about the collaboration, stating, “The government is doing its best with Innoson Motors. The partnerships are progressing, and very soon, you will see Innoson Motors everywhere.”

Chukwuma further discussed his company’s pioneering work in Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles, a venture he began two years ago. He praised the government’s focus on CNG as a transformative initiative for Nigeria and promised that CNG-powered buses would soon be on the roads.

“I started CNG about two years ago; I was the first to introduce it in Nigeria. My visit today focused on CNG vehicle issues, and in a short time, the public will see CNG buses on the road,” he said.

“The government’s initiatives on CNG are the best direction for this country because there are numerous benefits. It was those benefits that motivated me to start producing vehicles powered by CNG, even before the government’s announcement. For those who have used CNG vehicles, they will agree it is the way forward for our nation.”

Chukwuma also urged Nigerians to be patient, contrasting the current administration’s efforts to supply oil and gas with the shortcomings of the previous government. He emphasized the importance of preserving public infrastructure and affirmed the government’s dedication to strengthening the nation’s future.

It is worth noting that on May 14, 2024, President Bola Tinubu directed all government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies to purchase only generators and vehicles that run on compressed natural gas.
