Lagos APC dangles ₦20m, ₦5m cash prizes to LG, Ward with highest voter registration

The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a ₦20 million cash prize for the local government area that records the highest number of newly registered voters in the ongoing voter registration exercise.

The State Chairman of the party, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, made the announcement on Tuesday during the Lagos APC Stakeholders’ Forum held in Victoria Island.

Ojelabi said the incentive was aimed at encouraging massive voter mobilisation across all councils in the state, adding that the party had put necessary measures in place to ensure a smooth registration process.

He urged party members to intensify efforts at the grassroots by encouraging eligible residents to register and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

The APC chairman also disclosed that the ward with the highest number of new voter registrations would receive a ₦5 million cash prize as additional motivation.

According to him, the initiative underscores the party’s determination to strengthen its voter base ahead of future elections.

“We are not leaving anything to chance in mobilising people to register and collect their PVCs,” Ojelabi said.
